CCNLS serves Chemung and Schuyler Counties regarding these issues:

Income Maintenance:
 SSI
 Public assistance, food stamps
 Unemployment Insurance Benefits

Health:
 Medicaid

Housing:
 Eviction defense
 Conditions problems
 Public or subsidized housing issues
 Foreclosure

Consumer:
 Utility shutoffs
 Bankruptcy in select cases, for instance,  where client owns home and is threatened with 
      foreclosure 

Frozen bank accounts

 Pro bono divorce program:
 Uncontested divorce where parties have been apart for more than 1 year.  Plaintiff
      must live in Chemung County; support and custody orders must be in place.

 

Some additional services for cancer and HIV patients.
